Solvego - Math Game

iPhone Screenshot 4iPhone Screenshot 5
Solvego - Math Game comes from Halil Salis. The objective: how fast can you find the order of operations to get the target number.

The easy mode: 3 numbers are given.
The medium mode: 4 numbers are given.
The hard modes: 5 numbers are given.

Like a lot of puzzle apps out there, nobody is playing this game. I think there are less than 60 people on the Leaderboard.

A more polished version of this is Qwhizzle which isn't quite the same, but very similar.

Stack

iPhone Screenshot 1  iPhone Screenshot 2G
Stack is one of the many dexterity puzzle app games produced by Ketchapp. Rectangles will fly across the screen over your stack. The objective is to increase your stack of rectangles by tapping at the exact time it passes over your stack.

iPhone Screenshot 3  iPhone Screenshot 4
If it's not perfectly aligned, the new rectangle will be chopped down. Which means that when the next rectangle passes over, it'll get even tougher.

I'm not a huge fan of dexterity puzzle apps, but it's good to try them out and keep the brain sharp.

I prefer these other dexterity puzzles from ketchapp:

Pinball Sniper

Rop: Free Hexagon Rope Puzzle Game

iPhone Screenshot 4  iPhone Screenshot 3
Rop: Free Hexagon Rope Puzzle Game is an interesting puzzle app game. The object is to slide the dots to various circles so that the final image matches the one at the top. Seems easy at first. But then it gets tough.

iPhone Screenshot 1

The Classic Mode - already described.
The Cut Mode - you are given the shape to make and will need to cut some line segments off.

At the moment I've done about 40 of the Classic and 12 of the Cut modes.   I have not tried any of the Link puzzles yet.

Thermometers Puzzles

iPhone Screenshot 1  iPhone Screenshot 2
Do you remember Thermometers which I covered back in September? I really liked it and wanted it to be turned into an app. Thermometers Puzzles recreates it but not quite.

iPhone Screenshot 4
The object is to place the mercury or alcohol on the segments so that the total number in each row and column match the numbers outside the grid.

The grid sizes go from 5x5 to 11x11.  For the most part, they're fairly easy, which is okay because I like feeling smart. The other game which I played 6 months ago was harder because some of the thermometers were curved. Also, some of the grids had funky shapes.

Sudoku Maze: free puzzle app game for iphone, ipad

iPhone Screenshot 1  iPhone Screenshot 2

Sam Wormald recently contacted me about his puzzle app game Sudoku Maze.  I have not had a chance to play it.  But it looks interesting.

If you've played it, please describe it in the comments section below.

Other Innovative Sudoku Puzzle Apps (I'm sure this list is incomplete too!)
Kropk'i Sudoku  This is really a Latin Square with a couple of innovative ideas. It plays fast.
Quindoku Same as Logi5Puzz
Logi5Puzz  Same as NumDom. But NumDom has larger grid sizes.
Spindoku is totally different, but still very cool.
Hi-Lo Sudoku is one of my favorite variations.
Cryptdoku I played it so long ago, but it's cool.
Stimko Gold - outstanding version of squiggly Sudoku.  Handcrafted puzzles.
Kakooma - interesting for about 3 levels
RollDoku - never even solved 1 level, so hard
Cohabit- played this on my ipod touch - before ipad was invented
FlowDoKu - one of my favorites. Will not delete this.
Sudoku Mine combines Sudoku with Minesweeper
Sudoku Killer  combines Sudoku with Kakuro. I've spent a lot of time on this one. I can do the easy levels in about 10 minutes.
3Doku - a cubic version of Sudoku
Pokergreen Puzzles - a poker version of Sudoku
Star Sudoku

Brain Puzzle Game 2525 is a physics puzzle that came out last December. I played it then and only now am getting around to reporting on it.

Polarity Puzzle - Connect positive to negative poles

iPhone Screenshot 1  iPhone Screenshot 4
Polarity Puzzle - Connect positive to negative poles comes from Hexagony and Pushopolous.
Both are decent point scoring puzzle apps. Of the two, I prefer Pushopolous. But I haven't played either in a long time.

The object in this game is to place the New Tiles from the bottom into the grid so that all the Positives match the Negatives.  There are 3 grid sizes.  I did the small grid & large grids and got 100%.

Interesting game, but it's definitely not the type to play over and over again.

Tiles - Relaxing Puzzle Game

iPhone Screenshot 1
Andrew Kite and Joseph Falzon' Tiles - Relaxing Puzzle Game is a topology puzzle app game.
iPhone Screenshot 2
The object is to start at one yellow square, end at the other and pass through all the orange tiles. When an orange tile is passed over, it turns blue and can no longer be traveled on again.

Look at the second image. See the orange square with the red border? It must be traversed twice.  Also, see the black squares all connected? They act as train tracks.  The orange square on it will travel to pick you up and will drop you off anywhere on the tracks.

I've done a lot topology puzzle apps.  See the list below. Yes, I've done thousands of levels.
I like this game - particularly because of the train tracks.  I solved all 75 levels of this game, but they took a while.

One thing I thought was a bit confusing at first: look at the last image.  See the arrows that point down? They must be landed on from the tile above.  Once you're on those squares you do not have to continue downward.
