Frown Icons: free puzzle app game for iphone, ipad

iPhone Screenshot 2      iPhone Screenshot 4
Loyal Blog Follower Joel, from Germany is a fan of Frown Icons. He's done 30 of the 130 levels. I must confess that I'm not a big fan of these types of puzzles.

Flanker: free puzzle app game for iphone, ipad

iPhone Screenshot 3
Marc Zovighian's Flanker is another maze puzzle app.  Yawn?  Actually no.

The objective is to get the blue ball to the white square. As expected: there are mirrors and of course....wormholes.

Here's what I like: when the blue ball passes over the little yellow squares, they grow and become walls.

iPhone Screenshot 4
Look at the second image. See the white stars? They travel around swiftly so you have to time your swiping.  One level in particular, I forgot which one, is particularly challenging & fun.

According to the game, there are 75 levels. In fact, there are only 60. They go pretty quickly.
Marc's goal is to raise money for Parkinson's.  I like that.

Laser Maze 2015: free puzzle app game for iphone, ipad

iPhone Screenshot 3
Pierre Wilmot is the author of Laser Maze 2015.  We've done countless laser puzzles.

Here's what good about Pierre's game:

1. The black squares act as mirrors and slide along the lines.
2. There are only about 20 levels and I enjoyed solving them all.
3. It's free!

Star Lights: free puzzle app game for iphone, ipad

Embedded image permalinkiPhone Screenshot 3
Star Lights is a puzzle app where  the objective is to rotate circles in order to transfer the red balls onto the red spots. Same for the blue and green balls & dots. Tap on the area between 4 circles and the balls on those 4 spots will rotate.

iPhone Screenshot 4
This is not a new concept. However, I liked the overall presentation and confess that I liked solving them quickly. For the most part, they were easy. There are 40 levels and I've solved them all

Overgrown: free puzzle app for iphone, ipad

iPhone Screenshot 1
Overgrown is a chess-like puzzle game.  The object is to place the tree roots to fill up the grid with roots. Some trees act like rooks, others like queens.  Still others act like a combination of the two - 1 diagonal and horizontal.
iPhone Screenshot 3
The graphics are really quite good.
The game reminds me an awful lot like Combination, a game from about 3 years ago.

RLogic: free puzzle app game for iphone, ipad

iPhone Screenshot 1  iPhone Screenshot 2
Richard Sandberg recently contacted me about his new puzzle app RLogic. It's actually 4 different games in one tiny package. The first image shows Turn on the Lights. It's not a version of Lights Out. Rather, it's a topology puzzle. Start at a single point and traverse a path around every dot.  There are 50 free levels - did them all very quickly.
The second image is for Return the Balls. This is the most interesting of the lot.  The yellow circles indicate how a ball in that row can travel, perhaps 2 up or 1 down.  Naturally, get the purple ball to the purple ring....etc. Also 50 free levels - solved them pretty quickly. Though I imagine the more advanced levels could get pretty tricky.

The third image is the classic Measure Water. Given a 6 gallon jug and a 13 gallon jug, how can you perfectly measure out 5 gallons? I've only done 13 of these. That's enough.
The last image is for the game Turn the Wheels. This is very interesting.  The goal is to turn each wheel to 0 at the same time. Tap on, let's say green, and it will rotate 90 degrees. See the tiny blue and red circles with 3's next to them? They will turn 270 degrees on green taps. Quite tricky. I like.

Froggy The Collector: puzzle app game for iphone, ipad Tuesday

iPhone Screenshot 3
Alessandro La Pergola recently contacted me about his puzzle app game Froggy the Collector.  The objective is to rotate the circle at the bottom to catch the colored coin.

The concept is nothing new at all. It's been done 25 times in the last month.
However, there's an easy mode that goes nice and slow. Yes, it's good for older folks. Also, tap on the right side to rotate the disc clockwise, left for counter clockwise. I like.

Clone of Dwelp

Unite Puzzle: Colored Squares is a complete rip-off of Dwelp. From their twitter account: 'We are young boys - who love to create games and apps on IOS, Android, WP, Android wear & Apple Watch! Wooho'

Above, I randomly selected level 49 from both games.
If you haven't played Dwelp, you simply must.
