Number Knot: free puzzle app for iphone, ipad

Geoff Austin's puzzle Number Knot.The object is to place the numbers into the grid so they form a chain from 1 to n. It's a lot like Marilyn vos Savant's Numbrix. Her puzzle is syndicated weekly in Parade Magazine, which is usually part of a Sunday newspaper. In New York, I believe the NY Post carries it. 

There are 36 free levels and I've done them all. I like it. There are in-app purchases to unlock additional levels.

Wappi Puzzle Game

Vakhtanh Machabieli is the author of Wappi Puzzle Game.  Thanks to Loyal Blog Follower David Cole for alerting me about this.  The objective is to get your man to the green H before Frankenstein captures you.
Every time you move to a square - one step at a time - he will move two steps.  You must use the fences to keep him at bay.


These puzzles are difficult.  Of the 100 levels, I've done about 10.

About 5 years ago Jason Fieldman came out with Theseus, which is basically the same thing. Though it seems more polished in terms of the graphics. I also had trouble with that one.

Back from the International Puzzle Party

Hello Fellow Puzzlers,

this past week I was unable to update my blog because of the annual International Puzzle Party, held in Ottawa. These are just a few of the puzzles I examined/played with.  The last is a metal 3D printed model of the Ghost Cube, I think.  There were a bunch of Twisty Inventors present and each had numerous mutants for sale. It's impossible to keep track of the mutants since there are approximately 300 new ones each year.
