It's like a lot of other room escape puzzles: pick things up, use them elsewhere and of course, solve strange puzzles.

This particular game got a lot of press.  Enough press that there are at least 2 walk-through videos on youtube.  Which I confess to watching. No guilt! Okay, I feel a little guilty.

The graphics are quite good.

    Sphinx Mystery Escape is another point and click escape game developed by Games Bold. Sphinx is a building with full of mystery, and an archaeologist wants to solve it, why did ancient people build a building like that, solve the puzzles to uncover the mystery of the Sphinx.
